Tribenoside + Lidocaine HCl
1. PROPERTIES:
PROCTO-SID contains the active substance tribenoside which reduces the capillary permeability, improves vascular tone and has local anti-inflammatory properties together with Lidocaine which is a local anaesthetic.
PROCTO-SID is designed to exert a local action. It gives prompt relief from the unpleasant symptoms of haemorrhoids such as: (pain - smarting - itching). Lidocaine helps to provide rapid symptomatic relief.
2. INDICATIONS:
PROCTO-SID is used in the treatment of external and internal haemorrhoids and anal fissures.
3. CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to any of the constituents.
4. SIDE EFFECTS:
PROCTO-SID is well tolerated, but may cause burning sensation.
5. PRECAUTIONS:
PROCTO-SID should be used with caution during pregnancy especially in the first 3 months and during lactation.
6. DOSAGE & ADMINISTRAION:
PROCTO-SID cream should be applied morning and evening.
The dosage can be reduced to the application of cream once a day until the symptoms have disappeared.
7. PACKAGING & COMPOSITION:
PROCTO-SID – Cream: A pack of 20g cream in an aluminium tube. Each tube contains:
Tribenoside 5% w/w.
Lidocaine HCl 2% w/w.
8. STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store PROCTO-SID – Cream at temperature between (15-30)°C.
