1.PROPERTIES:
Mebeverine is an antisapasmodic with a direct action on the smooth muscle of the gastro-intestinal tract.
Mebeverine stops the spasm and relieves the pain without affecting normal gut-motility.
Mebeverine is rapidly and completely absorbed after oral administration and it is excreted into the urine.
2.INDICATIONS:
DE-SPASM is used in the treatment of:
- Irritable bowel syndrome.
- Spastic colitis.
- Gastro-intestinal spasm secondary to organic lesions such as: gastric and duodenal ulcers, disease of the gall bladder and bile ducts.
3.CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Hypersensitivity to Mebeverine.
4.PRECAUTIONS:
DE-SPASM should be used with caution during pregnancy and lactation.
5.SIDE EFFECTS:
DE-SPASM may cause constipation.
6.DOSAGE & ADMINISTRAION:
One tablet (135 mg) three times daily, 20 minutes before meals.
7.PACKAGING & COMPOSITION:
DE SPASM - Film Coated Tablets: A pack of 10 or 30 or 250 film coated tablets in blister. Each film coated tablet contains Mebeverine HCl 135 mg.
8.STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Store DE SPASM - Film Coated Tablets at temperature below 30°C.
