1-Composition:
Each capsule contains Paracetamol 240 mg+ Chlorpheniramine Maleate 3.2 mg+ Vitamin C 100 mg.
Excepients:
Silicon Dioxide, Talc, Mg Stearate.
2-Properties:
FLU-REST exhibits a combined effect of 3 dugs.
It has a decongestant action on the upper respiratory tract (Chlorpheniramine maleate an antihistamine for H1 central and peripheral receptors) and an analgesic, antipyretic action (Paracetamol); therefore it is suitable to relief the cold symptoms of upper respiratory tract.
The combination of vitamin C increases the immunity of the patient.
3-Indications:
FLU-REST is indicated to treat the symptoms of nasal congestion and obstruction, rhinorrhea, fever, acute congestive or allergic rhinopharyngitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis and catarrh.
4-Contraindications:
Patients allergic to any of the drug components.
Patients with severe hepatic failure.
Closed angle glaucoma.
Patients with the risk of renal retention (urethra-prostatic disorders).
Children less than 6 years.
5-Side Effects:
Insomnia gastrointestinal disturbances, dry mouth, and frequently skin allergic reactions.
6-Drug-Interactions:
It should not be taken with antihypertensive agents or CNS inhibitors.
7-Warnings:
- Duration of therapy should not exceed 5 days.
- Driving or operating heavy machines should be avoided.
- Alcoholic beverages should be avoided.
- The prescribed dose should not be exceeded.
8-Dosage & Administration:
Adults and Children over 12 years: 1 capsule three times daily.
Children aged 6 to 12 years: According to doctor prescription.
Children less than 6 years: contraindication.
Duration of therapy should not exceed 5 days.
9-Storage Conditions:
Store at temperature below 25°c, protect from light and moisture.
10-Packing:
Carton package of 12 capsules.
